Broadcast Sport Awards Success for AE Live-Supported Productions

AE Live is delighted to have contributed to several award-winning productions recognised at the Broadcast Sport Awards 2026, including ITV's acclaimed FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage, which was named Sports Production of the Year (Quadrennial).

‍

The FIFA World Cup was one of AE Live's biggest and most ambitious projects to date, delivered in partnership with ITV Sport. Alongside delivering the tournament's presentation graphics, match clock and score graphics, AE Live also helped bring ITV's studio coverage to life through an extensive virtual studio and augmented reality offering.

‍

From in-depth analysis segments to spectacular visual storytelling, the project blended physical and virtual environments to create a truly memorable viewing experience. Augmented reality elements extended beyond the studio itself and into iconic New York locations, including the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge, helping ITV's coverage stand out throughout the tournament.

‍

The award recognises the huge team effort across the broadcaster, production partners and suppliers who came together to deliver coverage of one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.

‍

It wasn't the only World Cup-related success of the evening. The Enhanced Player Profiles featured within the tournament coverage were recognised with the award for Best Use of Tech in a Sports Production, while ITV Sport's opening title sequence won Short-Form Content of the Year.

‍

BBC Sport's coverage of the FIFA World Cup, which AE Live supported with presentation graphics, match clock and score graphics, as well as a stunning extended reality studio environment from Salford, was also recognised on the night. The unforgettable 'Harry Kane Loses His Voice' interview picked up TV Moment of the Year, while Wayne Rooney was named Pundit of the Year for his work throughout the tournament.

‍

Elsewhere, Channel 4 was named Sports Broadcaster/Streamer of the Year following another impressive year of sports coverage, including Crufts, AFCON and WAFCON, all of which were supported by AE Live.

‍

Congratulations to everyone involved in the award-winning productions recognised on the night. We are proud to have played a part in many of them and look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of sports broadcast production in the years ahead.
