AE Live takes NRL Grand Final coverage to the next level with Augmented Reality

AE Live worked with Channel 9 to deliver broadcast graphics and augmented reality for the NRL Grand Final, helping bring the biggest game of the season to viewers across Australia.

‍

The project combined a full broadcast graphics package with a range of AR elements used throughout the coverage, supporting Channel 9's presentation from the build-up to the final whistle. From line-ups and match data to analysis segments, the graphics were designed to help tell the story of the game clearly and effectively.

‍

The AR content added another layer to the broadcast, giving presenters new ways to explain key talking points and showcase team and player information. Integrated into the studio environment, the elements helped create a more engaging viewing experience while maintaining the premium look and feel of the Grand Final coverage.

‍

Working alongside Channel 9's production team, AE Live ensured a smooth and reliable delivery across one of the most-watched events in the Australian sporting calendar.

‍

The project is another example of AE Live combining creative design, live data and innovative technology to support major sports broadcasts around the world.
